The next step in the Dangerous Building process is to send Summonses to property owners. In order to do that, the Town must have a municipal court in place, preferably a court of record. Town Attorney Stan Kimble stated that Dorothy Stone, the municipal judge for Simla and Kiowa, is available to the Town at a cost of $250/visit. The Board authorized Stan to contact Judge Stone and issue summonses in the continuing process to eradicate two of the three previously identified dangerous buildings. The third building has changed ownership and will be demolished.
