CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail met in regular session on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Town Hall, 555 Second Avenue, Deer Trail, Colorado. Mayor Frank Fields called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
TRUSTEE HARDWICK MOVED, MAYOR FIELDS SECONDED to approve the agenda. The motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
TRUSTEE MONNAHAN MOVED, TRUSTEE HARDWICK SECONDED to approve the March 2, 2010 regular meeting minutes. The motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Kenny Ross asked if the Town could fill the wash in the driveway at 330 Birch Street.
Jerry Kendall reported on the Sunday, April 11 races at Colorado Motorsports Park at Peoria. Kendall said that 1,700 spectators watched 82 cars race and that NASCAR racer Ken Schrader was in attendance. Twenty-two races are scheduled. Kendall said that Sunday, May 2 will be Deer Trail Community Day at the track and that anyone from Deer Trail (with proof) will be admitted for free.
REPORTS
Water & Sewer The Town’s wells pumped 1,287,000 gallons of water in March, 2010.

Swear In Mayor and Trustees
The Town Clerk swore in Mayor Frank Fields and Trustees Judd Behrens, Dillian Jeffrey, Gerald Mergl, John Monnahan, and Dorothy Pisel.
Appointment of Mayor Pro Tem
MAYOR FIELDS MOVED, TRUSTEE PISEL SECONDED to appoint Trustee Hardwick as Mayor Pro Tem. Voting was as follows: YES: Behrens, Fields, Hardwick, Jeffrey, Mergl, Monnahan, Pisel NO: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Resolution 10-04 Appointment of Municipal Officers
TRUSTEE MONNAHAN MOVED, MAYOR FIELDS SECONDED to approve Resolution 10-04 appointing Patti Owens as Town Clerk and Town Treasurer and appointing Stan Kimble as Town Attorney. Voting was as follows: YES: Behrens, Fields, Hardwick, Jeffrey, Mergl, Monnahan, Pisel NO: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Resolution 10-05 Authorizing Signatures for Checking Accounts
TRUSTEE MONNAHAN MOVED, MAYOR FIELDS SECONDED to approve Resolution 10-05 authorizing Frank Fields, Gerald Mergl, Patti Owens, and Dorothy Pisel as signers on checking accounts at Guaranty Bank. Resolution 10-06 Authorizing Signatures for ColoTrust Account

Building Permit – 520 Tenth Avenue

Town Clean-Up Day
TRUSTEE PISEL MOVED, MAYOR FIELDS SECONDED to hold spring Town Clean-up Day on Saturday, May 1 with three roll-off dumpsters from Swim’s Disposal from 8:00 a.m. until the dumpsters are full with Saturday, May 8 set as a rain date. Voting was as follows: YES: Mergl, Monnahan, Pisel, Behrens, Fields, Hardwick, Jeffrey NO: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Donation Requests -After-Prom Committee MAYOR FIELDS MOVED, TRUSTEE HARDWICK SECONDED to donate $100 to Deer Trail High School’s After-Prom Committee. The Town Clerk read a letter from Governor Bill Ritter in response to the Town’s letter concerning CDOT snow plowing.
